Spay & Neuter

At Providence Animal Hospital, our veterinarians provide spay and neuter surgery for puppies and kittens in Charlotte.

What is spaying and neutering?

Both spaying (for females) and neutering (for males) refer to the surgical sterilization of an animal under general anesthesia.

These procedures help prevent disease and provide your pet with a healthier, happier and extended life expectancy. They also contribute to the prevention of dog and cat overpopulation.

Pet owners should consult with their veterinarian to determine the best age to spay or neuter their pet.

Neutering (Males)
